Canine Memorials

The idea of the Canine Memorials was born after the passing of our beloved golden retriever Brandon in 2012. When speaking with other pet-parents, we quickly realized that most dog owners often grieve alone as there is little organized support. We decided to change that…

Our first memorial was held on July 27th, 2013, on the one year anniversary of his passing.
It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony, and a confirmation that we all needed a venue
that would allow us to grieve in the company of others who felt the same pain.

Please join us a we continue to celebrate the lives of our beloved.

Remembering Our Beloved

“For most of us, dogs are more than just pets; they are considered family.
That’s why, when they die, we feel a significant, even traumatic loss. And one
aspect that can make the grieving even more difficult, is when others assume
that it is somehow inappropriate to grieve for an animal.

They just don’t understand…

But we do. With this event, we want to help fill a void within the dog lovers’                             community and hope that the light of the lanterns provide comfort and peace                                 to many who, like us, have lost the unconditional love only a dog can provide.”
